Janet Allen-Banks
Pen & Ink, Pottery
I consider myself a Midwest native as I spent my childhood in Kansas and Iowa. In my adult years I resided in Washington state for 17 years raising a family and teaching art in the elementary schools. On a part time basis, I also enjoyed scrimshaw (mastodon ivory carvings) for a company that sold jewelry in Hawaii.
A graduate of Tonganoxie High School, St. Mary's University, and Johnson County Community College, I received a Bachelor of Arts and an Associates degree of applied science.
Pen & ink and pottery give me a personal enjoyment that allows me to express myself in a way that words can never do. |
