Daniel C.Calderon was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1974 where he showed a passion for art at an early age. Winning poster contests in middle school later evolved in high school to designing winning ads and pieces that included placing first in a citywide logo contest for a community coalition. He went directly to art school after receiving a scholarship in high school. But while life took a few twists and turns along the way, his passion for art has always been constant. While his work originally centered around pencil drawings, it was during an illustration course in college where he fell in love with painting. Acrylics have since been his primary medium and his work snapshots the often forgotten extraordinary beauty that is found in ordinary living.
